Two east coast conferences worth a look
Two conferences I won’t be at (because I’ve been on enough aeroplanes this year already and have to do a bunch more traveling in November) are later this month.
One is GelHealth in NYC which is the first foray into health care of the user experience gurus at GEL, founded by Mark Hurst. His ‘This is broken” blog was usually very poignant but now he has a slightly more mainstream blog. The presenters seem to be mostly clinical types.
The other is the good folks at Partners’ Center for Connected Health 2009 Symposium in Boston. I’ve run a Health 2.0 panel there for the last couple of years and, ahem, this year they seem to be more about Health 2.0 than ever and rather less about Continua-type device connectivity. But still a great group and good place to meet people.
The other point to mention is that they’re both at the same time. Connected Health is Oct 21–22, and GEL is Oct 22 with an optional day on 23rd.
Telepresence-transportation anyone?
