It is a complete shame that the woman in brown sat there for 45 minutes. It doesn't appear that she even moved to go get help.

It's Brooklyn Kings County Hospital, not L.A.'s King-Drew facility; but just as easily could have been any county or disproportionate share hospital in the US today.

This is a DISGUSTING indictment into the too often protected failures of institutional medicine. Where was the staff, the public, the so-called stewards of care, and quality assurance professionals. What about JCAHO, the state department of health, and other oversight players? Do they have accountability here? Who does?

Yes, we have met the enemy, and they are us!
