PERSONAL/MEDICAL RESEARCH: Apparently drinking beer causes gout

Yup, yet another affliction that happens to me. Gout is a real mother of a pain. Black cherry didn't work, but happily I now control it with allopurinol. But apparently Boston researchers say that I should give up beer. How long before health plans start following suit?
