JOB POST: Corp Manager EMR Product Design at Partners

Under broad direction from the Product Director, LMR, and the Director of CIRD, the LMR Product Design Manager serves to provide leadership for product design to the development and implementation of a key clinical information system at Partners Healthcare System – the Longitudinal Medical Record (LMR).

Description: General Summary

The LMR Product Design Manager develops a clear product vision and direction through proactive, comprehensive assessment of end-user, site, and enterprise requirements, and prioritizes these into a coherent proposed product plan for review and prioritization by the LMR Executive Committee. The LMR Product Design Manager aligns LMR Product strategy with Partners’ enterprise business strategy, and Partners’ IT strategy, and serves as a  focal point for communication about the LMR Product, its status,  developmental strategy, and product plan. The LMR Product Design Manager is responsible for identifying, scoping, and prioritizing projects to meet the LMR Product plan objectives, and developing the overall value  proposition and budget for development activities. The LMR Product Design Manager is responsible for staying abreast of the competitive product  marketplace, regulatory requirements, technology trends, and clinical issues relevant to the LMR product development with the support of LMR, and other, project teams, and IS staff.

Qualifications
• MD  Degree, Board Certified/Eligible in primary or specialty discipline
• Training in Medical Informatics, through Fellowship Training, advanced degree program, or comparable experience, to provide expertise in clinical systems design, informatics standards, and clinical information management      
• Leadership experience in large scale clinical software project development, and clinical software product management (or significant project management) experience
• Familiarity with heterogeneous clinical information systems environments, hospital and departmental       clinical information systems, systems interfacing technologies
• Five or more years practical experience with clinical systems design and implementation for large healthcare organizations, and integrated delivery  networks
• Effective negotiation skills, pragmatic orientation, goal directed
• Demonstrated success working in a matrix-managed environment
